On Thursday, August 9, at the headquarters of El Nacional newspaper, the launch of the latest book in their Biographies series took place—this time, the biography of Miguel Arroyo. The book was written by Diego Arroyo Gil (coincidentally sharing the last name), a young journalist currently studying publishing in Spain.
🎥 My Work: My task for this two-hour event was to condense it into a short social media clip. I had the support of Anna Maier for the stationary camera and audio, while I used a mobile camera to capture various shots of the audience and different angles of the speakers. Selecting key phrases from a long speech, weaving them together, and making them meaningful within a two-minute video wasn’t easy—but here’s the final result.

El jueves 9 de agosto, en la sede del diario El Nacional, se llevó a cabo el bautizo del nuevo libro de su serie Biografías, en este caso la de Miguel Arroyo. El libro fue escrito por Diego Arroyo Gil (el apellido es coincidencia), un joven periodista que actualmente cursa estudios editoriales en España.
🎥 Mi trabajo: Mi tarea en este evento de aproximadamente dos horas fue resumirlo en un video corto para redes sociales. Conté con la ayuda de Anna Maier para la cámara fija y el audio, mientras que yo utilicé una cámara móvil para capturar tomas del público y diferentes ángulos de los oradores. No es fácil seleccionar frases clave de un discurso largo, hilarlas y darles sentido en un video de dos minutos, pero este fue el resultado.
